The challenge
If you make equipment, you often only find out something is wrong when the customer calls. Technicians drive out to read a fault code. Making the product smart and connected seems the obvious step, but it takes electronics, firmware, servers and security at the same time, and that combination is rarely found in one team.
Development then takes longer than expected. Existing systems get harder and harder to maintain. And when the engineer who knows everything leaves, that knowledge leaves with them.
How we work
Jitter works as the technical extension of your organization. We stay on as a long-term partner who understands what your product has to do for your business, and we build up that knowledge and pass it on to your team.
We can join at the first idea or halfway through an existing project. We always start with the question behind the question. What should this product solve, why does it matter, for whom, and under what constraints?
From there we work pragmatically. We reuse what has proven itself and build custom parts where needed. That shortens lead times and lowers risk, while the product stays maintainable and cost-efficient.
Why Jitter
Besides building for clients, Jitter has put a connected product on the market itself. We developed Frogwatch and took it from idea to an independent company, where we are still a shareholder and technology partner. So we know from our own experience what it takes to keep a product working in the field for years. That experience as a product builder makes us a better development partner. Our ambition is to be the technical partner that manufacturers in the Netherlands can build on.
